Thank you Robert for your show of support. On behalf of the Board, I would like to clarify that the majority of our owners are understanding, supportive and most importantly, pay their HOA dues and assessments on time. Unfortunately, that saying “ One bad apple can spoil the whole bunch” holds true.
We did send out this assessment letter via Priority Post for a number of reasons. The Board wanted to be sure that every owner received the letter, it was the biggest assessment in the history of Tortuga and we felt the amounts assessed needed to be handled with as much clarity, ease and professionalism as possible.
Those of us serving on the Board have felt as you do at times, however, we have learned that the best way forward is to focus on the positive.
We are confident that we will get through this busy next year with the help and understanding of our constituency. We look forward to next fall when we will all reap the benefits of the construction project and finally enjoy the peace and serenity of the gulf coast once more. Sincerely, Karen Smith"
