Tortuga is shining!!! Doug and his landscape team have been recognized by the Sarasota Garden Club. (Someone correct me on the details if needed). Tortuga Club has been selected as one of the best looking property on the Key! Quite an honor!!! He has been invited to a luncheon with media coverage etc to receive the award!! Let's all congratulate him when you see him!!

Tuesday.... was walking through the crystal clear water picking up seashells and BAM!! Sharp pain that took me to my knees. Ended up calling 911 to the beach because the pain was piercing! Lots of tears and pain, ride down the beach on the paramedics buggy so Steve could get me at Turtle. G(http://Turtle.got)ot to ER, quickly put my foot in hot water, shot for pain and antibiotic for precaution. Thank you everyone who took such good care of me and all who have checked on me! Quite the experience. ER doc said she has seen a few of these this week, so be careful. Germaine shared the following with me! Good info

A long night here at Tortuga. High winds and rain most of the night. Woke up to about 55mph winds. Not seeing any damage except a tile flew off the roof and landed in front of us. High tide is a 12:28pm so that will tell us more about the storm surge they are concerned about. Water has not come up to benches as of now. Hope this is helpful. Will keep you updated.
